Montana Ray

Montana Ray is a feminist writer and mother. Her writing appears in, among others, Lana Turner Journal, La Petite Zine, and Narrative Magazine. She translated the early work of Spanish poet Francisca Aguirre for the book The Other Music: Selected Poems from the 1970s. Her gunpoetry appears in the chapbook (guns & butter), published by Dancing Girl Press. She was a finalist for the Yale Younger Poetry Series in 2012 and co-hosts The Brooklyn Ladies Text-based Salon, which features the work of lady artists working with text in any medium, especially queer artists and women of color.
