Christina Hunt Mahony

Christina Hunt Mahony completed her doctoral degree at University College, Dublin. She is the Acting Director of the Center for Irish Studies at the Catholic University of America. She is the author of Contemporary Irish Literature: Transforming Tradition (St Martin’s, 1999), and the editor of Out of History: Essays on the Writing of Sebastian Barry (Carysfort Press, 2006) and Report of the Irish Forum: The Future of Irish Studies (Prague). Dr. Mahony is a member of the Executive of the International Association for the Study of Irish Literatures and sits on the editorial boards of the Canadian Journal of Irish Studies and Estudios Irlandeses (Barcelona). Her memoir, “Crossing the Delaware,” will be published in the forthcoming Dublin Review Reader.
