Lannan Visiting Chair Rabih Alameddine has received The Publishing Triangle Awards’ Bill Whitehead Lifetime Achievement Award.

Alameddine was praised for his “powerful imagination on the page and his attention to every single word and sentence” by Julie Enszer, a member of the judging panel for the award. The Whitehead Award is given to an LGBTQ author to celebrate their lifetime of work and their commitment to fostering queer culture. This award comes a few years after Alameddine’s The Wrong End of the Telescope won the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction in 2022.
