On December 26th, 2025, Lannan Visiting Chair Rabih Alameddine sat with Host Indira Lakshmanan from the Iowa Public Radio to do a brief reading of his award-winning novel, The True True Story of Raja the Gullible (and His Mother), which was recently named the 2025 National Book for Fiction last November.

Alameddine was previously a National Book Award for Fiction finalist in 2014 for his novel, An Unnecessary Woman.
