Nicholas Allen

Nicholas Allen was born in Belfast in 1972. Educated at Queen’s University Belfast and Trinity College Dublin, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of English and Comparative Literature, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the author of George Russell and the New Ireland (2003), editor of The Cities of Belfast (2003), and Gerald Dawe’s collected essays, The Proper Word (2007). He has recently finished a new book, The Republic of Modernism.
