Lannan Outreach seeks to cultivate exchange partnerships between the Lannan Fellows and individuals and organizations in the greater DC poetry community, encouraging collaboration as appropriate to a given project.

With a focus on grassroots social practice initiatives, the connection between the Fellows and District community partners will contribute to a multi-generational network of artists creating in DC for the purpose of education. The Outreach Program is designed to raise awareness in the greater DC community regarding the cultural and creative events and activities on the Georgetown campus. It further is designed to increase Georgetown student awareness of volunteer, employment, and educational opportunities available in the arts-based education community in DC. Finally, Outreach aims to support the efforts of Georgetown students to engage with their city for the purpose of community development and education.
